Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arturo Gatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gatti comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Change kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Eddie Duncan has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Arturo Gatti !
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatti tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Duncan defends well and Gatti ends up having to push Duncan into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Duncan has hold of one of Gatti 's legs. Gatti is fighting the takedown attempt but Duncan gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Duncan is looking to work some ground and pound but Gatti has wrist control.
Gatti should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Duncan wants to control from the top but Gatti keeps moving.
Gatti wants to get back to his feet but Duncan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Duncan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Duncan is looking to work some ground and pound but Gatti has wrist control.

Gatti shoots in and drives through. Duncan sprawls well.

Duncan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gatti manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Gatti really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Duncan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
