PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Julius Ceasar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Snuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Snuka's choice of entrance music: smoke weed. Jimmy Snuka will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snuka keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Julius Ceasar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Snuka steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ceasar.
Ceasar cracks Snuka with a right hand to the side of the head.
Ceasar tries to close the distance and clinch but Snuka swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ceasar works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Ceasar wants to clinch.
Ceasar lunges at Snuka with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Snuka's hand.
Snuka throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Snuka tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Snuka connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ceasar. Ceasar circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ceasar misses with a combination
and Snuka counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Snuka on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Ceasar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Snuka swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ceasar scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Ceasar tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Snuka manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ceasar ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Snuka moves away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ceasar lands with a light punch inside.
Snuka with a knee to the head.
Ceasar misses with the head strike.
Ceasar scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Ceasar works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Snuka tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Ceasar has Snuka pressed against the ropes, preventing Snuka from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Snuka blocks an uppercut.

Snuka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ceasar just misses with a punch to the body.

Ceasar has managed to clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ceasar is trying to stall.
Ceasar tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Ceasar keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Snuka's efforts to push away.

Ceasar breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ceasar thuds a left hand into Snuka's body.

Ceasar moves into the clinch.
Snuka trying to control the position but instead, Ceasar has worked for underhooks and has pushed Snuka into the ropes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Julius Ceasar will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Ceasar is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Snuka is keeping busy.
Snuka wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ceasar has him pressed against the ropes.

Snuka breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ceasar takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Snuka fails in his attempt to clinch.

Ceasar misses with a looping right.
No joy there for Snuka, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ceasar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Snuka paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ceasar pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Snuka throws a series of strikes that have Ceasar backpedaling.
Ceasar jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ceasar tries to clinch there but Snuka circles away.
Ceasar punishes Snuka's body with a nice straight punch.
Ceasar lands a high kick!
Snuka takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ceasar throws a jab when Snuka was well out of range.
Snuka steps in and throws a big head kick that drops Ceasar to the mat! Ceasar looks in trouble, can he beat the count? Snuka is bouncing in a neutral corner joining in with the referee '4,5,6' they both chant. 7,8,9... he's not going to make it! 10! He's out! Snuka jumps onto the ropes and takes in the acclaim from the crowd!
