The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garnett just misses with a punch to the body.
Gouken tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Garnett manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gouken shoots in looking for a takedown. Garnett tries to sprawl out of it but Gouken keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Garnett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gouken throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Scott Gouken seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gouken throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Garnett sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Gouken avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Gouken avoids the body shot from Garnett.

Gouken uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Garnett.
Gouken throws a body punch but Garnett moves out of range.
Gouken lands a nice hook to Garnett's body. Garnett takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Gouken lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Garnett falls backwards - clearly groggy! Gouken dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
