Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Owen William (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Todd Duffield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duffield closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Duffield is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down William's shoulder. That is not cool.

Duffield remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

William is looking for a sweep. Duffield is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Duffield uses his free foot to push down on William's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for William.
William tries to hold on but Duffield pushes him away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duffield cracks William with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Duffield bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

William is rocked!
Duffield works to advance to full mount. William defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Duffield can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as William is looking to escape.
Duffield loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have William scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Duffield land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Duffield stands and salutes the crowd.
