These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rhodes scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Forbes tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Rhodes takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Forbes is trying to get back to full guard.
Rhodes is looking to take a break and control but Forbes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Cody Rhodes wasn't active enough on the ground.
Rhodes throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Rhodes lands a big head kick that sends Forbes tumbling to the mat! Rhodes takes a step backwards and waves Forbes back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Forbes is rocked!

It looks like Antony Forbes has been cut.

Rhodes instigates a clinch.
Oh Forbes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Forbes seems to have got his legs back now.
