The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Arroyo misses with a few strikes there.
Morgan drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Arroyo goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Donn Morgan has been cut.
Morgan moves out of range as Arroyo throws a body kick.
Arroyo throws a wild body kick that Morgan sees coming a mile off.
Arroyo lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Morgan backs up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Morgan shoots in but Arroyo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Morgan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Arroyo's guard.

Morgan gets to his feet - Arroyo follows without any prompting.
Morgan showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Arroyo.
Arroyo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Morgan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes from Arroyo. Those never looked like landing.
Arroyo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Filix Arroyo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Arroyo throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Morgan's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Arroyo dives in looking to finish as Morgan flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Arroyo's strikes! Arroyo is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Morgan's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Morgan was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
