PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gus Bus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dewey Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dewey Cooper was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bus avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bus dodges the punch combination from Cooper.
Cooper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bus really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bus throws a hook to the side of Cooper's head but Cooper sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cooper throws a right hand that Bus ducks under and follows up with a left that Bus also avoids with ease.

Cooper throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bus's waist but Bus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cooper off to one side.

Bus lands with a kick to the temple. Cooper shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Bus stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bus wants it to stay on the feet.

Bus fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cooper.

Bus buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cooper shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bus sprawls well. Bus wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cooper gets slowly back to his feet.

Cooper stalks Bus and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bus's face. Bus staggers backwards, shaken.

Bus fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cooper has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cooper throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bus sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Cooper counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bus thinking.

Bus lands a big head kick that sends Cooper tumbling to the mat! Bus takes a step backwards and waves Cooper back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Bus steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cooper.
Bus turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Cooper drops his hands momentarily and Bus needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Cooper just on the top of the head. Cooper drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Cooper - he's done!
