Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Nyyrikki Takaraivo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takaraivo slips under a jab.
Barnes lands a right hook to the body.
Takaraivo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Barnes finds it's way round the side to connect with Takaraivo's head.
Takaraivo takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Takaraivo defending well as Barnes loads up on a big left hand.
Takaraivo slips under a jab.
Barnes connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
We've been told by Takaraivo's head coaches at IMMA Gym of ASS that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Takaraivo throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Barnes's head.


It looks like John Barnes has been cut.
Nyyrikki Takaraivo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takaraivo tries to land a body kick
and Barnes counters with a body kick.
A head kick misses from Takaraivo.
Barnes on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Takaraivo tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Barnes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Takaraivo moves away.
Takaraivo is looking to clinch but Barnes is avoiding it.
Takaraivo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Barnes lands a slapping body shot.
Takaraivo misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Takaraivo throws a lazy head kick
and Barnes counters with a stiff right hand.
A leg kick checked by Barnes.
Takaraivo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Takaraivo swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Barnes sends Takaraivo crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Barnes is motioning to the referee to let Takaraivo up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Takaraivo is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Takaraivo gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Barnes points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Takaraivo wakes up just in time to hear Barnes thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Barnes!
John Barnes decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
