The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iskra moves to clinch but Maynard breaks away
and Maynard counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Maynard.
Maynard is looking to take this one to the mat.
Iskra is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Iskra lands a takedown into guard.
Iskra trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Iskra lands a nice shot that snaps Maynard's head back.
Iskra closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Iskra lunges at Maynard with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Maynard's hand.
Iskra shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Iskra was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Iskra goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Maynard rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Iskra's guard! Nice work there by Maynard!

Maynard wanted to stand there but Iskra had control of the position.

That's time! Maynard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Maynard gets caught napping as Iskra dives in and scores a takedown. Maynard manages to retain guard.

Maynard has his foot on Iskra's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Iskra works his way back into a safe position though.

Iskra changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Maynard looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Maynard wants to improve his position but Iskra is controlling well.
Maynard could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Iskra looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Iskra is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Maynard doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Iskra.
Iskra really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maynard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Maynard is in trouble now - Iskra has advanced to mount!

Roberto Iskra showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Iskra moves into the clinch.
Maynard is trying to drag Iskra to the mat but Iskra just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Maynard tries for a takedown. No joy.
Maynard has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Iskra clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Iskra tries to escape but Maynard has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Maynard is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Iskra is defending well though. Maynard let's go of the attempt for now.

Maynard is trying to stick to Iskra's back but Iskra is turning into Maynard. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Maynard's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Iskra.

Well Iskra has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
