Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Noam Chomsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akihito Tatsuhiko Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chomsky comes into the arena with System Of A Down BYOB blaring out of the sound system. Tatsuhiko Jr comes into a darkened arena with his song building. EYE OF THE TIGER kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Akihito Tatsuhiko Jr!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatsuhiko Jr throws a head kick that Chomsky semi-blocks.
Chomsky misses the shot to the body.
We've been hearing reports that Chomsky has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Tatsuhiko Jr is trying to push Chomsky away but Chomsky has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Chomsky lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Chomsky stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tatsuhiko Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Horrible takedown attempt by Tatsuhiko Jr or perhaps it was just good defense by Chomsky, which made it look bad.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tatsuhiko Jr is defended easily by Chomsky.
Akihito Tatsuhiko Jr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Chomsky leaves Tatsuhiko Jr with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Chomsky tries to close the distance and clinch but Tatsuhiko Jr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tatsuhiko Jr gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Chomsky.
Chomsky throws an overhand right that lands on Tatsuhiko Jr's shoulder, as Tatsuhiko Jr tries to avoid the shot.
Tatsuhiko Jr scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tatsuhiko Jr takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Chomsky drops Tatsuhiko Jr with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Tatsuhiko Jr! Chomsky dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Noam Chomsky!

After the fight, Noam Chomsky was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Akihito Tatsuhiko Jr spoke after the fight, saying 'The better man won tonight. Thanks to everyone who believes in me and the FANS!'.
