Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Holman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomb Raider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomb Raider will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andreas Holman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tomb Raider!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raider shoots in for a takedown but Holman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Holman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Raider throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Holman tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Raider is in Holman's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Holman looking for a sweep. Not yet Holman, not yet.

Raider stands and steps away. Holman gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Raider moves into range and clinches up with Holman.
Holman prevents the takedown attempt.
Raider looks winded!
Holman can't break the clinch.
Holman goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Raider wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Holman has him pressed against the cage.

Raider has hold of one of Holman's legs. Holman is fighting the takedown attempt but Raider gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holman wants to get back to his feet but Raider is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Holman is trying to keep Raider in close.

Holman is looking to stand up but Raider isn't so interested in that idea.
Raider stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Holman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andreas Holman.
Holman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Raider fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Andreas Holman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomb Raider.

and Holman counters by moving into the clinch.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Holman for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Raider fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Raider is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Holman is defending well.
Holman scores a nice knee to the body.
Holman is trying to stall.

Holman on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Holman gets underhooks to prevent Raider's takedown attempt.
Holman crunches a lovely knee into Raider's ribcage.
Raider letting Holman take a breather here.
Holman has Raider pressed against the cage, preventing Raider from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Raider is working for takedown but Holman is calmly controlling the position for now.
Holman is trying to break free.
Raider is trying to pull guard but Holman turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Holman tries to throw a body punch but Raider avoids it by throwing Holman back against the cage.

Raider blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Holman doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Raider is fighting off a takedown attempt but Holman is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Raider to the mat. Raider regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Holman has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Raider is proving hard to escape from.
We've been informed that Raider has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Holman loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Holman wants to stand but Raider is controlling his posture from full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Holman slaps away a takedown attempt from Raider, before circling back to the center of the mat.

so Holman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Holman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Holman makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Holman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Raider is breathing heavily.
Raider has Holman pulled in close to control his posture.

Raider utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Holman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Raider works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Raider working for a triangle but Holman defends it easily.
Raider is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Holman throws an elbow that misses. Raider uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Holman's guard. Nice move by Raider!
Holman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Raider must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Holman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Raider is controlling him.
Raider postures up.
Holman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Holman looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Holman trying to keep a closed guard but Raider is proving a slippery customer.
Raider is in close to Holman's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Holman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Holman is looking to stand up but Raider isn't so interested in that idea.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Raider is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Holman is defending well.

Holman stalling against the cage.
Holman is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Raider is defending well for now.

Raider manages to pull guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Raider can do anything to dispel that myth.
Raider looking to hit a scissor sweep but Holman is one step ahead there.
Holman distracts Raider with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Raider has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Holman has passed into side control.

Holman is trying to get an arm triangle but Raider is defending well.
Holman works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Raider throws a few strikes from the bottom but Holman takes advantage and mounts!

Raider has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

Holman working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Raider is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Holman has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Raider taps out!
