Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Enoch Whitehead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruben Pena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruben Pena has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Whitehead moves into the clinch successfully.
Whitehead trying to land knees to the body.
Pena tries to break the clinch but Whitehead is controlling the position.
Whitehead prevents Pena from breaking the clinch.
Pena is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Whitehead lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Pena decides to pull guard.
Whitehead working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Pena seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Whitehead postures up in Pena's guard and throws a big left but Pena blocks it.
Whitehead missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Pena lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Whitehead has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Whitehead looking for a guillotine here but Pena defends easily.

Whitehead isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Pena stacks Whitehead on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Pena!
Pena tries to advance to mount but Whitehead denies him.

Pena connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Whitehead some visible discomfort.

Whitehead parries the strikes from Pena easily there. Pena is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Whitehead to escape.
Whitehead is looking to regain half guard here but Pena keeps moving and retains side control.
Pena trying to control the position but Whitehead is working away.
Whitehead tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Pena is trying to get an arm triangle but Whitehead is defending well.

Pena tries to stand but Whitehead controls the position and pulls Pena into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pena postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Whitehead is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Pena rolls with it to try and escape but Whitehead cranks on the arm and Pena is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
