Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bo Maddox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bo Maddox has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Thiago Machado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bo Maddox!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maddox closes the distance looking to clinch
and Machado counters by clinching up.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Maddox tries to land a knee to the head but Machado blocks with his arms.
Machado blocks an elbow strike.
Maddox is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Machado pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Maddox pushes off an throws an elbow but Machado leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Maddox has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Machado lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Machado breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Machado digs a good hook to Maddox's body.
Maddox darts in trying to clinch
and Machado counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Bo Maddox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Maddox tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Machado counters by clinching up.

A body shot lands from Machado.
Maddox looks winded!
Machado pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Machado fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Maddox, pushing him back against the cage.
Machado gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Machado not doing much here.
Machado is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Maddox!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Machado takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Machado landing strikes from the mount and Maddox is in trouble!
Machado cracks Maddox with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Machado is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Maddox to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Maddox shrugs it off.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Machado cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

BOOM! Machado connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Maddox is rocked!
Machado unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Maddox wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Machado celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
