Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dwayne Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeremy Seigel!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Seigel decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johnson's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Johnson is trying to control the position but Seigel postures up.
Seigel's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Johnson wants to hit a switch here but Seigel passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Johnson there!
Seigel should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Johnson throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Seigel wants to control the pace but Johnson is squirming around nicely.
Seigel misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Johnson wants to control but Seigel is having none of it.
Seigel lands with some strikes.
Johnson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson is squirming around, avoiding Seigel's attempts to control the action.
Johnson is bucking up trying to escape but Seigel cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Seigel throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Seigel can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Johnson is looking to escape.

Seigel postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Johnson looks a forlorn figure.

Seigel can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Johnson is looking to escape.
Johnson wants to control but Seigel is having none of it.
Seigel wants to control the pace but Johnson is squirming around nicely.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Seigel with shots to the head and body - Johnson looks very uncomfortable down there.

Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Seigel paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Johnson shoots in for a double leg but Seigel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Johnson looks for a takedown but Seigel sprawls well.

Seigel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Seigel wants it to stay on the feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Johnson misses with a low kick.

Seigel looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Johnson!
Seigel takes a little break here. Johnson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Seigel stands up and beckons Johnson to his feet.
Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Seigel circles away.

Seigel closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Seigel tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Johnson smiles and moves away.

and Seigel counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Johnson's guard now.

Seigel seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Seigel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Johnson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Johnson controls Seigel momentarily but Seigel frees himself.

Seigel drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Seigel jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Seigel is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Jeremy Seigel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Johnson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch but Seigel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Seigel throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Johnson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Johnson counters with a one-two to the body.
Johnson keeps the fight on the outside.
Seigel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Johnson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Seigel darts in looking for a takedown but Johnson gets double underhooks and turns Seigel into the cage.

Johnson manages to pull guard.
Johnson can't keep his opponent in guard - Seigel advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Seigel is trying to control. Johnson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Seigel looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Seigel seems to be looking for submissions.
Seigel missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Seigel wants to get back to his feet.
Johnson is not content to let Seigel control the position.
Seigel is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jeremy Seigel was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Seigel leaves Johnson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Seigel feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Johnson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Seigel wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance.
Johnson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A chopping leg kick lands by Seigel.
Johnson tries for a takedown but Seigel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Seigel circles away.
Seigel shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnson sprawls well. He's pushed Seigel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dwayne Johnson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jeremy Seigel is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Seigel moves into the clinch.
