Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Harlan Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hardy Builtman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Builtman looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Palmer!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Builtman working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Palmer is looking for a sweep.
Palmer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Builtman tries to move to mount but Palmer blocks the move with his legs.
Builtman wants to stand but Palmer has his arm trapped.
You can see the frustration on Palmer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Builtman wants to control but Palmer is keeping him busy.

Palmer bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Builtman dives in and scores a takedown into Palmer's guard.
Palmer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Builtman is looking to stand up but Palmer won't let him.
Palmer wants to get back to his feet but Builtman passes into half guard.
Palmer pushes Builtman off looking to stand but Builtman dives back in and keeps control.
Builtman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Palmer is trying to get back to full guard.
Palmer is looking to escape.

Builtman is trying to control. Palmer wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Builtman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Palmer is not content to let Builtman control the position.
Palmer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Builtman on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Builtman drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Builtman won't allow Palmer to get back to his feet.
Palmer is breathing heavily.
Builtman passes Palmer's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Builtman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Palmer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Builtman wants to stand but Palmer has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Palmer is refusing to be controlled, as Builtman sits in half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Builtman is looking for a kimura but Palmer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Builtman to get the leverage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Builtman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Palmer is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Builtman is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Palmer is trying to stand.

Palmer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Builtman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Builtman's back!

Builtman wants to control but Palmer is having none of it.

Builtman is pressing down on Palmer's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Builtman is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Palmer frees his head nicely. Oh but Builtman has switched to an armbar! Palmer is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
