Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Rugalov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin comes to the cage accompanied by Downstait - This Is My Life. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ivan Rugalov was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 21 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrew Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ivan Rugalov!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rugalov was covering up waiting for the punch and Martin finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Martin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rugalov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Martin passes Rugalov's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Rugalov wants to control but Martin is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Rugalov is defending against the submission attempts here by Martin.
Martin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Martin throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Martin trying to control the pace.
Martin is trying to control. Rugalov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rugalov pushes Martin off looking to stand but Martin dives back in and keeps control.
Martin wants to pass to mount but Rugalov is defending the position.

Martin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Martin missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Martin seems to be working for a kimura but Rugalov defends the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Martin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Martin drops an elbow to the side of Rugalov's head.

Martin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Martin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rugalov's head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Martin stalling away here and it's allowed Rugalov to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Martin trying to control but Rugalov is working from the bottom.
Martin pushing down on Rugalov's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Martin tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rugalov knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
We've been hearing that Martin has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Martin is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Rugalov is trying to escape and Martin transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Rugalov is forced to tap! Nice work there by Martin! Very nice indeed!
