The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
West prevents a takedown attempt there.
West pressing his opponent against the cage.
West can't get the takedown.
West looking to slow down the pace here.
Oliveira can't break the clinch.
Oliveira wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
West just leaning against Oliveira, taking a breather.

Oliveira jumps guard and drags West to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
West controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
West won't allow Oliveira to sweep him here.

West working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
West trying to control but Oliveira is working from the bottom.
Oliveira is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Oliveira is trying to control. West wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Oliveira stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Oliveira bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

West swings wildly with an uppercut but Oliveira uses good head movement to avoid it.

West stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Oliveira has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! West manages to get his head free but now Oliveira has transitioned to an armbar! West grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Oliveira! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
