Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kieth Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yato Yasamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Yato Yasamoto!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yasamoto closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Todd to the mat! Todd manages to get full guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Yasamoto not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Yato Yasamoto.
Yasamoto throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Yasamoto throws a leg kick
and Todd makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Yasamoto closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Todd to the mat! Todd manages to get full guard.
Yasamoto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Todd swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Yasamoto works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Yasamoto tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Well, if Yasamoto is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Yato Yasamoto was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Todd keeps the fight on the outside.
Yasamoto leaves Todd with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Todd shoots for a double leg takedown but Yasamoto sprawls well. He's pushed Todd's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Todd throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yasamoto's waist but Yasamoto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Todd off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kieth Todd. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Yasamoto.
Yasamoto misses the shot to the body.
Yasamoto is looking to clinch but Todd is avoiding it.
Todd fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Yasamoto avoids it really well and circles away.

Yasamoto pushes Todd up against the cage in a clinch.

Todd fails to pull guard.
Todd has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Yasamoto avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Todd drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Todd is breathing heavily.
Todd fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Yasamoto drags the fight down to the ground.

Todd is sitting in close to Yasamoto's body. Yasamoto has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Todd is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Todd is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Yasamoto.
