Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harvey Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cordeil Spazz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cordeil Spazz has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Harvey Conway's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Harvey Conway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cordeil Spazz!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spazz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Conway napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Spazz avoids the strikes from the bottom by Conway.
Conway is trying to control Spazz's posture but Spazz avoids it.

Spazz swings around for an armbar but Conway sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Spazz's guard.
Conway throwing strikes but missing.

Conway got a little sloppy there for a moment and Spazz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Conway has managed to get both his arms back between Spazz's legs - danger averted.
Spazz pulls Conway in close to his closed guard and prevents Conway from doing any damage or advancing position.
Conway in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Conway postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Spazz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Conway, into his guard.
Spazz wants to control from the top but Conway keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Conway pulls Spazz in close to prevent any damage.
Spazz stays in close to Conway's body and controls the position.
Conway doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Conway is striking from the bottom but Spazz uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Conway tries to roll over but Spazz keeps him under control.

Spazz seems to be working for a kimura but Conway defends the submission attempt.
Spazz prevents Conway from improving his position.
It looks like Spazz is going to stand back up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Conway tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Spazz drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Conway is not content to let Spazz control the position.

Spazz decides to stand up, so the ref orders Conway to his feet.
Spazz swats away the attempt to clinch by Conway.

Spazz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Conway napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Conway wants to control but Spazz postures up.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A lull in the action here.
Conway is trying to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
You can see the frustration on Conway's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Conway is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cordeil Spazz dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Spazz scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Spazz wants to take a breather but Conway is having none of it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Cordeil Spazz hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Conway has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Spazz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Spazz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Conway gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Conway is refusing to be controlled, as Spazz sits in half guard.

Conway strikes from the bottom but Spazz uses the opportunity to move to side control.

A control attempt from Conway but he's now mounted!
Conway tries to lock up and control but Spazz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Spazz thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Conway is controlling an arm, preventing Spazz from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Conway wants to hold on but Spazz pushes him away.
Spazz throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Conway tries to lock up and control but Spazz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Poor strikes thrown by Spazz there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Conway is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Spazz throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Conway because Spazz loaded up on that one.
Conway is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Spazz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cordeil Spazz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Spazz drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Conway has a closed guard, preventing Spazz from standing up.

Conway throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Spazz decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Spazz tries to close the distance and clinch but Conway swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Spazz throws a low kick but Conway moves out of range easily.
Conway tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Spazz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Conway wants to clinch but Spazz slips to the side
and Spazz counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Spazz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Conway drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Spazz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Conway has Spazz in his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spazz would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Conway is adopting a defensive guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Spazz has picked Conway up - he's going for a ride! Spazz dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Spazz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Spazz thows a huge punch but Conway dodges it nicely.
Conway is looking for a sweep. Spazz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Conway has his hands clasped together around Spazz's back. He's all about the action.
Spazz wants to control but Conway is keeping him busy.

Spazz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Spazz wants to pass to mount but Conway is defending the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Spazz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Spazz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Conway can't do much from the bottom here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Conway manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Harvey Conway has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Cordeil Spazz is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Conway is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Spazz has managed to free his arm - good work.

Well Spazz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
