Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Forest Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Venox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cole Venox will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Venox lands a jab to Lucas's midsection.
Lucas checks a leg kick.
Venox drives through with a takedown into Lucas's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Lucas keeping moving, preventing Venox from controlling successfully.
Venox has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lucas is proving hard to escape from.
Venox passes Lucas's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Lucas is trying to stand.
Lucas avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Venox.
Venox has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Venox wants to work for an arm triangle but Lucas is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Lucas tries to get to full guard but Venox has control of the leg.

Venox is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Lucas manages to get to full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Venox accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lucas is breathing heavily.
Venox stays in close to Lucas's body and controls the position.
Venox is pushing down on Lucas's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lucas is fighting to maintain full guard but Venox has managed to sneak the leg through.
Venox seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lucas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Venox tries to pass to full mount but Lucas defends it.

Venox seems to be working for a kimura but Lucas defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Venox is looking to take a break and control but Lucas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Venox stands up and beckons Lucas to join him on the feet.
Venox wants to clinch up but Lucas keeps it at a distance.
Venox gets the takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Venox tries to advance to mount but Lucas denies him.
Venox wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lucas keeps working.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Venox is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lucas is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Lucas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Venox on the ground.

Lucas stops Venox from passing to mount.
The ground and pound from Venox seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Lucas prevents Venox from moving into mount.
Venox working away.
Lucas is looking to regain half guard here but Venox keeps moving and retains side control.
The strikes coming from Venox are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Venox trying to control the position but Lucas is working away.
Venox content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Venox throws an elbow but Lucas slips to the side and avoids it well.
Venox throws a strike aimed at the side of Lucas's head but Lucas avoids it well.
Venox passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Lucas!
Lucas looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Venox struggling to land strikes to the head as Lucas covers up.
Venox has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Lucas is in real trouble here. Venox gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Lucas is tapping out! Venox wins by rear naked choke!
