Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Azeredo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Azeredo has chosen "Hooked on a Feeling" by Blue Swede as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jim Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Antonio Azeredo!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Azeredo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Azeredo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Bob wants to clinch
and Azeredo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Azeredo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Azeredo has control of an arm but Bob manages to advance to Azeredo's back!

Azeredo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bob is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Azeredo wants to control but Bob is keeping him busy.

Azeredo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Azeredo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Azeredo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Azeredo is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Bob is not content to let Azeredo control the position.

Bob looks to move to half guard but instead Azeredo has passed into mount! Damn!
Azeredo sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Bob is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Antonio Azeredo dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Azeredo digs a good body shot into Bob's ribs.
Azeredo scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Bob throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bob throws a combination. Azeredo tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bob moves into the clinch.

Azeredo misses with a punch on the inside.
Azeredo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bob's elbow.
A battle for position here, against the cage.

Bob escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Azeredo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Bob misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bob tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Azeredo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bob looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Bob fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Azeredo scores with a shot to the body.
Bob tries to move into range but Azeredo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Azeredo lands a jab to Bob's midsection.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Azeredo. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

It looks like Jim Bob has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bob gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Azeredo lands with a shot to the body.
Azeredo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bob stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've been told by Bob's head coaches at Body Pain_12elite_599$+VM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Bob doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Antonio Azeredo seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Azeredo lands with a big left! Bob is wobbled badly! Azeredo comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Bob to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Antonio Azeredo!
A very excited looking Antonio Azeredo made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
