We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Van Dijk is looking to regain half guard here but Sturtsil keeps moving and retains side control.

Sturtsil tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sturtsil has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Van Dijk is looking for a sweep.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sturtsil has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sturtsil has hold of Van Dijk's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Van Dijk seems comfortable defending it but Sturtsil has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Van Dijk is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Van Dijk is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Sturtsil couldn't care less - he's delighted!
