Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mose Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mose Blake has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Mose Blake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Clark Kent!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent misses with a series of wild punches.
Blake leaves Kent with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Blake really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kent looks for a takedown but Blake sprawls well.
Kent shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mose Blake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clark Kent.

Kent rushes Blake and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kent blocks the elbow strike.

Blake breaks the clinch.
Kent shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Blake moves into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Blake escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kent.
Donk. Kent catches Blake right on the button with a cross.
Blake fails with an attempt to clinch.
Blake tries to clinch there but Kent circles away.
Kent misses with a leg kick.
Kent shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Blake defends it nicely.

Kent moves into the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blake tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Blake pulls guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Blake wants to sweep but no luck.
Blake will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kent trying to control but Blake is working from the bottom.
Blake tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Kent stands up from Blake's guard - Kent perhaps looking for a knockout.

Kent moves into the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Blake breaks from the clinch.
Blake stuffs the takedown.

Blake instigates a clinch.

Blake breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kent gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Blake pulls guard successfully.
Blake lands a couple of shots from the bottom.

Kent drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Blake manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kent has Blake in his guard.

Blake content to stall in guard here.
Kent looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Blake throwing strikes from guard but Kent blocks nicely.

Kent has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Blake off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mose Blake will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Kent clinches up with Blake and pushes him back against the cage.
Blake tries to break free but Kent pushes him back against the cage.
Blake fails to pull guard.
Kent is looking for a takedown.

Blake breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kent tries to keep at a distance but Blake has taken the fight into the clinch.

Blake breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kent fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Blake, pushing him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Kent's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Blake jumps guard.
Kent trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Blake manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kent wants to get back to his feet but Blake is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Blake drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Blake jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kent keeping moving, preventing Blake from controlling successfully.
Blake controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blake has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kent is proving hard to escape from.
Kent controls Blake momentarily but Blake frees himself.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Kent moves into the clinch.

Blake pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kent moves into range and clinches up with Blake.
A nice right hand lands inside from Kent.


It looks like Mose Blake has been cut.

Blake pulls guard effortlessly.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kent trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Blake manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Blake controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Blake throws a big elbow that misses.
Blake wants to control from the top but Kent keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Kent escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Blake gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Blake is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mose Blake.
Kent misses with a head kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kent clinches up against the cage.

Blake jumps guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mose Blake will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Mose Blake's cut.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Kent takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Kent closes the distance and pushes Blake back into the cage.

Kent wants to pass the guard but Blake is keeping the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Blake closes the distance and clinches.
A frustrated look appears on Kent's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Blake pulls Kent into guard.

Blake keeping moving, preventing Kent from controlling successfully.
Blake looking for a sweep. Not yet Blake, not yet.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Clark Kent.
Kent shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kent fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kent clinches.
Kent tries to pull guard but Blake forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Blake breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kent gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Blake holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Blake manages to break the clinch.
Kent stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kent wants it to stay on the feet.
Kent misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kent throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Blake sees it coming and avoids it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Blake avoids the head kick by Kent.
Kent misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Clark Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blake tries to clinch but Kent moves out of range.
Kent throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Blake stuffs the takedown attempt from Kent. Kent gets slowly back to his feet.
Blake shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kent sprawls well. Kent wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Blake gets slowly back to his feet.
Clark Kent has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mose Blake is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kent just misses with a punch to the body.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mose Blake.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Blake, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
