Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Woodie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Evans!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodie takes one to the chin there.
Evans is looking to clinch but Woodie is avoiding it.
Evans looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Woodie is fending him off so far but Evans persists. Nope, Woodie circles away and we're back to standing.
Evans wants to clinch up but Woodie keeps it at a distance.

Evans has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Woodie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Woodie drops back looking for a leg! Evans is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Evans manages to kick Woodie off! Woodie jumps back into Evans's guard.

Evans is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Woodie has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Evans is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Woodie wants to stand but Evans is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Evans has his takedown stuffed

and Woodie counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Woodie is thwarting Evans's attempts to control the position.
Woodie lands with a punch from half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Woodie thows a huge punch but Evans dodges it nicely.
Woodie wants to pass to mount but Evans is defending the position.
Evans has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Woodie is working away from the top position though.
Evans is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Evans trying to control but Woodie postures up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Evans darts in trying to clinch

and Woodie counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Woodie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Evans pushes Woodie off and gets back to his feet.
Evans gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Woodie counters with a shoot takedown. Evans fights it but they end up in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Evans working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Woodie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Woodie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Evans escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Woodie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Evans isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Woodie stacks Evans on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Woodie!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Evans wants to clinch

and Woodie counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Woodie.
Evans is trying to break the clinch but Woodie has him pressed against the cage.
Evans wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Woodie gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Woodie drops back looking for a leg! Evans is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Evans manages to kick Woodie off! Woodie jumps back into Evans's guard.
Evans is trying to keep Woodie in close.
Evans is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Evans is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Evans seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Woodie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Evans is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Woodie has managed to free his arm - good work.

Woodie makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Woodie.

Woodie has his feet on Evans's thighs here. He's pushed Evans off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Evans screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
