Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Freak on a Leash. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Trevor Kazarian!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jackson throws a nice looking combination but Kazarian bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Shamar Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jackson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Montreal Fighter's Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Kazarian takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kazarian on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Jackson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Kazarian throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Jackson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Kazarian doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Jackson throws a big right hand that misses.
Jackson advances to half guard.

Jackson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Kazarian is looking to improve his position.

Jackson trying to control from Kazarian's half guard. Kazarian has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jackson postures up in Kazarian's guard and throws a big left but Kazarian blocks it.

Jackson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jackson slips nicely into half guard.
Kazarian wants to get back to full guard but Jackson has mounted him!
Jackson thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Jackson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kazarian's face.
Jackson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kazarian because Jackson loaded up on that one.

Jackson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Kazarian defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Kazarian covering up well and avoiding damage.

Jackson somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

We've been informed that Kazarian has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Can Kazarian hold on?! Jackson is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Jackson working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Kazarian is doing well to defend. Jackson seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Kazarian is forced to tap and this one is over!
