Gomes comes to the cage accompanied by Roadhouse Blues. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Francis Colon on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Gomes counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Francis Colon thinking.

Francis Colon closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gomes's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Francis Colon has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gomes to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Francis Colon is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gomes pulls down on the head and he's put Francis Colon to sleep! This one is all over!
