PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Whitehope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morten Joikhaaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Morten Joikhaaja was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joikhaaja tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Whitehope swivels and escapes.
Whitehope stuffs the takedown attempt from Joikhaaja. Joikhaaja gets slowly back to his feet.
Joikhaaja shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Whitehope cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mark Whitehope has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Morten Joikhaaja.
Joikhaaja tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Whitehope swivels and escapes.
Joikhaaja fails with the takedown

and Whitehope counters with a series of strikes that sends Joikhaaja to the canvas! Whitehope follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

Joikhaaja is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Joikhaaja pulls Whitehope in close to prevent any damage.
Whitehope landing with the ground and pound.
Joikhaaja is still in real trouble! Can Whitehope finish him?
Whitehope with a flurry of punches that miss.
Whitehope throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Joikhaaja works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Whitehope trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Whitehope is in close to Joikhaaja's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Whitehope gets to his feet and stands over Joikhaaja, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Joikhaaja felt that one! Whitehope unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Joikhaaja from any more punishment!

Mark Whitehope decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
