Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harley Crowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Nickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crowe comes to the cage accompanied by The Dead Brothers - Old Pine Box. Nickson has chosen Flybanger - Cavalry as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nickson tries a low kick but Crowe avoids it.

Nickson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Crowe lands a nice shot to the body.
Nickson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Crowe scores with a decent looking hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nickson looks to land a left hand but Crowe moved out of range nicely.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Nickson tries to kick Crowe off but Crowe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Crowe has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Crowe is controlling the pace.

Crowe is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Nickson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Crowe.

Nickson pushes Crowe off looking to stand but Crowe dives back in and keeps control.

Nickson manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Crowe keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Nickson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nickson wants to slow Crowe down by chopping away at his legs.
Crowe lands with a nice body punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Crowe moves out of range of the strikes.
Crowe misses with a double jab.
Nickson tries a head kick but it misses.
Crowe is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nickson.

Crowe ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Crowe moves out of range of the leg kick from Nickson.

Nickson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Nickson throws a hook but Crowe avoids it easily.
Crowe scoring well with a low kick there.
Crowe stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Nickson.

Johan Nickson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Crowe takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A head kick by Nickson misses

and Crowe counters with a shoot takedown. Nickson fights it but they end up in guard.
Crowe lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Crowe wants to control from the top but Nickson keeps moving.
Crowe advances to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Crowe is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nickson defends it well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nickson pushes Crowe off looking to stand but Crowe dives back in and keeps control.
Crowe lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Crowe working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Crowe prevents Nickson from standing back up.
Nickson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Crowe is pressing down on Nickson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nickson is holding on for now.

Crowe is looking for a kimura but Nickson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Crowe to get the leverage.

Crowe is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Nickson pushes Crowe off looking to stand but Crowe dives back in and keeps control.

Crowe maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Nickson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Crowe has cracked it and Nickson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Crowe!
