Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Buffer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Hirano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bobby Hirano!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jorge Garcia and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hirano tries to clinch up.
Buffer throws a leg kick but Hirano moved away.
Buffer misses with a wild body shot.
Buffer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hirano throws a lazy head kick
and Buffer counters with a good low kick that Hirano was not able to check.
Hirano keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Buffer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hirano.
A low kick from Buffer misses
and Hirano makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hirano feints and then cracks Buffer's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Buffer down.
Buffer throws a leg kick but Hirano moved away.
Hirano keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Hirano tries to clinch up
and Buffer counters with a left to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Buffer moves out of range as Hirano throws a body kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Buffer.
Hirano checks a leg kick nicely.
Hirano shoots for a takedown but Buffer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bruce Buffer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Hirano.
Buffer tried to score with a low kick but Hirano checks it.
Hirano's coach down at KPJ's Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hirano's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Hirano lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Bruce Buffer has been cut.
Buffer throws a nice outside leg kick.
Buffer shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Buffer is looking to wear down Hirano with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Buffer will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Buffer misses the shot to the body.
Buffer avoids the head kick by Hirano.

Buffer throws a leg kick
and Hirano counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A head kick from Hirano lands but Buffer takes it in his stride.

A slapping leg kick lands for Hirano.
Hirano checks the leg kick.
Buffer throws a leg kick but Hirano moved away.
Hirano connects with a high kick.

Hirano lands a left and a right that send Buffer crashing to the mat, dazed. Hirano thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Buffer is rocked!

Bruce Buffer's cut is getting worse.
Hirano looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Oh Buffer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Buffer swings for the body but Hirano moves out of range.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Hirano knocks Buffer out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
