Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Oskar De La Hoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Marvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marvin has chosen Apache as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Oskar De La Hoya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Hank Marvin!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marvin looks for a takedown but De La Hoya sprawls well.

De La Hoya drives through with a takedown into guard.
De La Hoya is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
De La Hoya postures up in Marvin's guard and throws a big left but Marvin blocks it.
Marvin keeping moving, preventing De La Hoya from controlling successfully.
De La Hoya has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Marvin is looking to stand up but De La Hoya isn't so interested in that idea.
De La Hoya is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Marvin tries to sprawl but De La Hoya drives through with a takedown into half guard.
De La Hoya has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

De La Hoya gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Marvin to score an easy takedown into full guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Marvin working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Marvin wants to control from the top but De La Hoya keeps moving.
Marvin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control De La Hoya haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Marvin throws an elbow that misses. De La Hoya uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Marvin's guard. Nice move by De La Hoya!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

De La Hoya wants to work for an arm triangle but Marvin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Marvin tries to kick De La Hoya off but De La Hoya keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with De La Hoya in particular looking to stall.
De La Hoya has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
De La Hoya frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The referee warns Marvin that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

De La Hoya goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Marvin is on top in guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
De La Hoya can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Marvin controls the pace.
De La Hoya is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Marvin enables De La Hoya to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Marvin manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Marvin shoots in but no luck this time.
De La Hoya keeps the fight on the outside.
De La Hoya pulls out of a head kick attempt.

De La Hoya shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Marvin is trying to defend but De La Hoya finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

De La Hoya is looking for a kimura here.
De La Hoya lands a big elbow - Marvin is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for De La Hoya!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Oskar De La Hoya!
Oskar De La Hoya seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
