PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eemeli Saeldur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Boggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Boggs's choice of entrance music: "Miami Vice Theme" by Jan Hammer. Tyson Boggs looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tyson Boggs!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saeldur is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Boggs looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Boggs blocks a head kick by Saeldur.
Saeldur throws a sloppy head kick and Boggs moves out of range easily.
Saeldur tries to clinch but Boggs moves out of range.
Saeldur pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Saeldur moves in looking to clinch but Boggs pushes him off.
Saeldur fails in his attempt to clinch.
Saeldur is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Saeldur tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boggs paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Boggs keeps the fight on the outside.

Saeldur gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Boggs to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Boggs tries to free his leg and advance position but Saeldur is retaining full guard.

Saeldur is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Boggs wants to control from the top but Saeldur keeps moving.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saeldur controls Boggs momentarily but Boggs frees himself.

Saeldur really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Saeldur tries to roll over but Boggs keeps him under control.
Saeldur on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Saeldur tries to get out of the position.

Boggs is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Saeldur doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Boggs.
Boggs throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Boggs missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Saeldur is looking to control Boggs's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Saeldur avoid being mounted?
Saeldur tries to roll over but Boggs keeps him under control.

Saeldur is trying to maintain the position but Boggs is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Eemeli Saeldur.

Boggs shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Saeldur sprawls well. Saeldur wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boggs gets slowly back to his feet.

Boggs avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Saeldur.
Saeldur tries to pass the half guard into mount. Boggs knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Saeldur is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Boggs is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Saeldur shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boggs's guard.

Saeldur stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boggs swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
