Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Will Montgomery!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Yato Yasamoto!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montgomery swats away the attempt to clinch by Yasamoto.
Yasamoto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Montgomery gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Yasamoto to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Yasamoto must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Horrible takedown attempt by Yasamoto or perhaps it was just good defense by Montgomery, which made it look bad.

Montgomery is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Yasamoto is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Yato Yasamoto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Yasamoto throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

And that's the end of the fight!
Yato Yasamoto comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Yasamoto has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
