The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Matsuo or perhaps it was just good defense by Vraganza, which made it look bad.

Matsuo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Matsuo is trying to control. Vraganza wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Matsuo fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Matsuo throws a sloppy strike and Vraganza uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Vraganza has ended up in Matsuo's guard.

Vraganza goes for a double leg but Matsuo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Matsuo continues to drive forward.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Matsuo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Matsuo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Vraganza's guard.

Vraganza feints and as Matsuo raises his hands in defense, Vraganza changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
