Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brett Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ross Massey!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Massey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Massey thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Massey throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Check out the look on Massey's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
You can see the frustration on Snow's face as Massey controls the position.
Snow could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Massey tries to stand but Snow is controlling his head.
Snow stops Massey from passing to mount.
Massey just content to control the position.

Massey wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Snow, who protects the arm well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Snow is trying to escape the position but Massey is controlling the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Snow is trying to control Massey's posture but Massey avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Massey controlling the position.
You can see the frustration on Snow's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Massey working the ground and pound.
Massey tries to move to mount but Snow blocks the move with his legs.

Massey working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Snow seems a little lost for a moment, as Massey dominates the positioning.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Massey tries to stand but Snow is controlling his head.
Snow knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Massey on the ground.
Snow manages to work his way to half guard, despite Massey's best efforts.
Still in half guard, Massey seems content to control.
Snow tries to roll over but Massey keeps him under control.

Massey stands up out of the half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Massey changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Snow looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Massey thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Massey connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Snow some visible discomfort.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Snow is working to avoid the ground and pound but Massey connects with a decent elbow.
Snow is trying to improve his position.
Snow is working hard here to advance position.
Massey working the head with strikes.
Massey works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Massey cracks Snow with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Massey tries to stand but Snow is controlling his head.
Massey in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Massey tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Massey has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Massey controls the position.
Massey wants to stand but Snow is controlling his arm.
Snow trying to remain calm as Massey controls from the top position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Massey lands a nice forearm strike.


Snow is rocked!

Massey decides to stand back up. Massey steps back and let's Snow get back to his feet.
Oh Snow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sloppy strikes from Massey. Those never looked like landing.

Massey lands a huge takedown. Snow is out but the ref is slow to react and Massey lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Snow lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ross Massey!
