Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Dale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renan Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for William Dale has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, William Dale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renan Da Silva!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.


It looks like William Dale has been cut.
Da Silva shoots in for a takedown but Dale shows good takedown defense.
Da Silva throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dale tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Da Silva sizes up Dale with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Da Silva throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dale ducks right into an uppercut from Da Silva.
Da Silva misses with a right hand

and Dale holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dale is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Dale takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Da Silva has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dale is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dale misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Da Silva is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Dale pulls him back up using the underhooks.
William Dale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renan Da Silva.

Dale pulls guard successfully.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Da Silva throwing strikes from guard but Dale blocks nicely.

Dale working for a triangle but Da Silva defends it easily.
Da Silva in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dale keeping moving, preventing Da Silva from controlling successfully.

Dale looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dale tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Dale really is a fat lump.
Dale controls Da Silva momentarily but Da Silva frees himself.
Da Silva wants to pass the guard but Dale is keeping the position.
Da Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Dale is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dale is looking for a triangle but Da Silva pushes his legs off easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Da Silva wants to stand and escape but instead Dale has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Da Silva is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Dale dives into side control.
Da Silva tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Dale presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Da Silva tries to reverse the position but Dale maintains control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dale lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Dale with good strikes from the mount here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dale throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Dale trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Renan Da Silva will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on William Dale's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Dale scoring well with a low kick there.
Da Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Da Silva looks to land a left hand but Dale moved out of range nicely.

Da Silva drops Dale with a beautiful combination! Dale stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Da Silva is looking for the KO!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Da Silva throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Dale looks to land a combination. Da Silva sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Dale has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dale there as he acknowledges the shot.


Dale is rocked!
Dale wants to slow Da Silva down by chopping away at his legs.
Oh Dale is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dale glances at the clock... BAM! Da Silva nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Dale crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Dale is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Renan Da Silva!
