PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Perry Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anno Damang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damang is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by F***you. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Damang fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jefferson to the ground. Damang is now in Jefferson's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Damang chips away with some ground and pound.
Damang is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Damang tries to stand but Jefferson is controlling from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Damang lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Damang drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Damang jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jefferson is working an open guard so Damang takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jefferson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Jefferson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Damang throws a head kick but Jefferson moves out of range.
Damang scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Jefferson really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Damang throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jefferson sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Damang gets a takedown into half guard.
Jefferson is trying to control but Damang manages to pass to mount!
Damang has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Damang is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jefferson is surviving well by controlling Damang's body position as best he can.

Jefferson tries to lock up and control but Damang gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Damang lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Damang is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jefferson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Damang.

Damang stands up from half guard.

Damang clinches.

Jefferson has Damang pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Damang manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
A frustrated look appears on Jefferson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Damang lands a nice uppercut.

It looks like Perry Jefferson has been cut.
Damang unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Oh Jefferson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Damang breaks from the clinch.
Crack! A monster head kick from Damang and Jefferson falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Damang!

Anno Damang tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
