Todd shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Todd was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Alessio can't do much from the bottom here.
Alessio is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Todd's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Alessio pushes Todd off looking to stand but Todd dives back in and keeps control.
Alessio works his way to full guard. Good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alessio controls Todd momentarily but Todd frees himself.
Todd missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Alessio looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Todd drops back looking for a leg! Alessio is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Alessio manages to kick Todd off! Todd jumps back into Alessio's guard.
Todd is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Alessio has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Todd is looking to defend but Alessio has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Todd! Alessio pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Todd taps out and this one is all over!
