Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carol Short (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Strong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Alex Strong was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Short is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Strong's half guard.
Strong desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Strong is trying to maintain the position but Short is very close to passing his half guard.

Short is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Strong manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Short is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Strong is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Short is aware though and is defending well.
Short keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Strong's head.

Short looking to sit in guard and control but Strong gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Strong drops back looking for a leg! Short is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Short manages to kick Strong off! Strong jumps back into Short's guard.

Short is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Strong is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Short is looking for a triangle but Strong pushes his legs off easily.

Strong is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Short has Strong pulled in close to control his posture.

Strong thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Strong drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Strong jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Strong drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Strong seems to have locked his on tight now - Short screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Strong, as he picks up the win!
