Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Randy Randall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tunturi Pony!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pony gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Randall counters with a takedown into side control.

Randall tries for a kimura but Pony is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pony regains half guard there - taking advantage of Randall's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Randall is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pony doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Randall.

Randall prevents Pony from standing back up.
Randall is just content to waste time from the top position. Pony takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Randall sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pony's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randall throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pony stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Pony showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Randall.
Pony shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Randall counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Randall stops Pony from getting back to his feet.
Pony won't allow Randall to pass to mount.

Randall is looking to take a break and control but Pony is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Randall is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pony doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Randall.

Randall looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Randall is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pony sees it coming and defends easily.

Pony kicks off Randall and gets to his feet.
Randall swings for the body but Pony moves out of range.
Pony shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Randall sprawls well. Randall wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pony gets slowly back to his feet.
Pony tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Randall defends well and Pony ends up having to push Randall into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Randy Randall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tunturi Pony.

Randall breaks from the clinch.
Pony doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Randall counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Randall is looking to stall here but Pony recovers full guard.
Randall pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pony is keeping the position for now.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Randall passes Pony's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Randall passes the guard and advances to mount!
Randall is trying to take his opponent's back.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Randall is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Pony to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Pony shrugs it off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Randall dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


A cross from Randall lands.

Pony closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pony lands in his opponent's guard.

Randall is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pony is aware though and is defending well.
Pony must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Pony throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Randall works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Pony tries to free his leg and advance position but Randall is retaining full guard.

Pony throws a sloppy strike and Randall has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Pony is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Randall!
