Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viana shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Turbio counters with a nice double leg into side control. Viana won't be happy with that.

Viana tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Turbio wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Viana really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John Turbio wasn't active enough on the ground.
Turbio slaps away a takedown attempt from Viana, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Viana shoots in and drives through. Turbio sprawls well.

Turbio manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Viana manages to get himself to full guard.
Turbio is standing up over Viana. Viana looks to escape but Turbio dives into side control.

Turbio tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Turbio has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Turbio works to advance to full mount. Viana defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Viana is controlling an arm, preventing Turbio from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Turbio throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Viana has his hands clasped together but Turbio breaks the hold and Viana is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Turbio!
