The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diamond shoots in for a takedown but Umemoto shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Umemoto.
Diamond throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Umemoto's waist but Umemoto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diamond off to one side.
Austin Diamond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Umemoto scoring well with a low kick there.
Nice shot lands for Umemoto.

It looks like Austin Diamond has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Umemoto stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Diamond is rocked!
Umemoto fakes the body blow, causing Diamond to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Diamond goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

A relieved looking Kyoden Umemoto thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
