Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fist Maloy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zach Smack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fist Maloy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zach Smack!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smack circles away from the clinch attempt.
Maloy connects with the punch.
A big left from Smack misses.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Maloy.
Smack keeps the fight on the outside.
Maloy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Smack keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Smack throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Maloy counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Smack's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Maloy stands and steps away. Smack gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Smack looks gassed!
Maloy lands a jab to the nose.
Maloy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Maloy tries to close the distance and clinch but Smack swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Maloy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Maloy takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Maloy lands with an uppercut that bounces Smack off the cage and back into rage.
Maloy throws a left and a right that both miss

and Smack counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Maloy!

Maloy is trying to escape the mount.
Maloy controls the position.
Maloy is wriggling around trying to escape.
Maloy regains half guard.
Smack wants to stand but Maloy has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maloy gets back to full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Maloy is on top in guard.
Maloy could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Maloy wants to control from the top but Smack keeps moving.
Smack wants to stand and escape but Maloy is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Maloy trying to control the position from guard on top but Smack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Maloy passes into half guard.
Smack is not content to let Maloy control the position.
Maloy stops Smack from getting back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Maloy looks to land a combination. Smack sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Smack throws a combination that misses

and Maloy counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Maloy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Maloy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Smack wanted to stand there but Maloy had control of the position.
Smack is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Smack must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Maloy looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Maloy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Smack's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fist Maloy dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Smack circles away from the clinch attempt.
Maloy connects with a looping right hand.
Maloy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smack as he jumps to the side.
Smack misses with a wild combination.
Maloy connects with a jab.

Maloy moves into range and clinches up with Smack.
Smack is trying to drag Maloy to the mat but Maloy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Maloy has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Smack uses from the top position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Smack is looking to stand up but Maloy won't let him.

Maloy had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Smack is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Maloy Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Smack's back instead.
Maloy has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Smack.

Smack is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Maloy trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Smack doesn't escape.

Maloy has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Smack! Can he survive? No! He's out! Maloy gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
