PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Zane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Presley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Presley is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Loco. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Columbo Gatti and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zane throws a head kick that misses.
Zane tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Presley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Zane takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Presley drives through with a takedown into Zane's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Presley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zane's waist but Zane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Presley off to one side.

Presley has hold of one of Zane's legs. Zane is fighting the takedown attempt but Presley gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. David Presley hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Presley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zane sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Presley somewhat.
Mike Zane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Presley.
