The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briefs throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Johns tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Johns swings away with a leg kick that misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Johns.
Briefs connects with a single shot there.
Johns shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Johns tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Briefs swivels and escapes.
Johns misses with a head kick.
Briefs throws a right and a left that both miss.
Johns swings away with a leg kick that misses.
An inside leg kick from Johns misses.
Briefs connects with a solid leg kick.
Briefs digs a good hook to Johns's body.
Briefs's coach down at Iron Fist Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Briefs's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Johns motions for Briefs to come forward. Johns throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Briefs tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Johns was well out of range. Poor timing from Briefs.

Briefs takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Johns takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Johns is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Briefs looks calm but he's in trouble here. Johns gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Briefs is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Johns lets go of the hold and Briefs can pop his arm back in it's socket.
