Cherkasky dives in and scores a takedown into Sparks's guard.

Cherkasky thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Cherkasky drops back looking for a leg! Sparks is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sparks manages to kick Cherkasky off! Cherkasky jumps back into Sparks's guard.

Sparks had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cherkasky defends it easily.
Cherkasky seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Sparks is wriggling around but Cherkasky manages to pass to half guard.

Sparks has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Cherkasky doesn't defend quickly enough and Sparks has managed to lock this one up! Can Cherkasky escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Sparks on a fantastic submission victory.
