And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Batishchev throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jennings tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Batishchev is in Jennings's guard.
Batishchev must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Batishchev scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Jennings is looking to stand up but Batishchev isn't so interested in that idea.
Batishchev working some strikes from top position.
Jennings is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jennings will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Batishchev has eaten all the pies!
Jennings is trying to stand up here but Batishchev is controlling him well.
Batishchev seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Jennings is rocked!

Batishchev winds up and cracks Jennings with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Oh Jennings is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Batishchev perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Jennings looks like he's trying to stand up.
Jennings is breathing heavily.
Batishchev lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Jennings! More strikes land and this one is all over! Batishchev jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

A relieved looking Ivan Batishchev thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
