The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sweet Kick changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Murphy tries to avoid it but Sweet Kick manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Murphy to the ground. Murphy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Murphy counters with a straight right hand.
Sweet Kick shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Murphy as he jumps to the side.

Murphy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sweet Kick is trying to defend but Murphy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Murphy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sweet Kick bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Murphy's guard.

Murphy throws his legs up looking for a submission but Sweet Kick uses it to pass to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
