Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saffedine wants to clinch.
Saffedine tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nodes swivels and escapes.
Saffedine closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nodes circles away.
Saffedine fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Nub Nodes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Armos Saffedine.
Nodes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Saffedine.

The fighters circle momentarily. Nodes darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Armos Saffedine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saffedine throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nodes's waist but Nodes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Saffedine off to one side.
Saffedine fails with a takedown attempt.
Saffedine dives in and grabs Nodes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nodes pushes down on Saffedine's head and hops out.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Saffedine throws a head kick that misses.
Nodes works Saffedine's body with a nice hook.

Saffedine shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nodes is trying to defend but Saffedine finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Nodes pushes Saffedine off looking to stand but Saffedine dives back in and keeps control.
Saffedine wants to pass the guard but Nodes is defending well.

Saffedine is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nodes is just riding it out for now. Saffedine eventually gives up the hold.

Saffedine is taking a breather. Nodes says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Saffedine fails with a takedown attempt.
We've been informed that Saffedine has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Saffedine shoots in but Nodes avoids the takedown attempt easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Saffedine looks for a takedown but Nodes sprawls well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Nodes lands a slapping body shot.
Saffedine misses with a two punch combination.
Nodes swats away the attempt to clinch by Saffedine.
Saffedine closes the distance and clinches up with Nodes, looking for a takedown. Saffedine pushes Nodes against the cage but Nodes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Armos Saffedine is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Saffedine doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Saffedine tries to clinch there but Nodes circles away.
Saffedine tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Saffedine shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Nodes connects with a body shot that sends Saffedine's belly button to the back.

Nodes lands with an overhand left.

Nodes cracks Saffedine with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Nodes has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Saffedine to stand back up!

That has opened up Armos Saffedine's cut even more.
Nodes digs a good body shot into Saffedine's ribs.
Nodes is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Saffedine can do to turn this around?
