The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Hemingway with that takedown attempt.
Hemingway shoots in but Washburne avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Washburne is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Washburne wants to clinch up but Hemingway keeps it at a distance.

Washburne is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hemingway is surviving well by controlling Washburne's body position as best he can.

Hemingway defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Washburne.

Hemingway sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Washburne seems to be working for a kimura but Hemingway defends the submission attempt.

Washburne drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Washburne jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Washburne pushes down on Hemingway's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Hemingway is looking for a sweep. Washburne is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Hemingway has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Washburne. Oh but Hemingway has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Washburne goes limp - he's gone! Hemingway jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
