Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Alan Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adelai Niska!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Scott looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Scott passes the guard and advances to mount!
Niska tries to hold on but Scott postures up.

Scott is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Niska has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Niska tries to hold on but Scott pushes him away.

Scott moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Niska has worked his arm free - good work by Niska!
Scott misses with the ground and pound.
Scott tries to score with some ground and pound. Niska controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Niska prevents Scott from moving into mount.

Scott is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Niska knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Niska manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Niska is trying to maintain the position but Scott is very close to passing his half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Niska shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Niska slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Scott has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Niska trying to control the position from guard on top but Scott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Scott is on top in guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Scott tries to free his leg and advance position but Niska is retaining full guard.

Scott has gone for a leg lock! Niska slips out almost immediately though and dives into Scott's guard.

Scott has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Niska is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Scott.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Scott is breathing heavily.
Scott is not content to let Niska control the position.
The strikes coming from Niska are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Scott throws a shot from downtown. Niska moves away and avoids it.
Scott throws a looping overhand right but Niska ducks down to avoid it.

Niska seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Scott does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Scott wants to improve his position but Niska is controlling well.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Scott stuffs the takedown attempt from Niska. Niska gets slowly back to his feet.
Niska wants to clinch.

Scott shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Niska's guard.
Scott throws and elbow that misses. Niska uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Scott's guard. Nice move by Niska!

Scott looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Scott is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Niska wants to control from the top but Scott keeps moving.

Scott working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Niska doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Niska manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Scott looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Niska has picked Scott up and slammed him! Scott can't keep hold of the triangle and Niska manages to pass to side control!

Scott postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Niska is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Scott, into his guard.

Scott is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Niska is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Niska has escaped and now he's on top!

Adelai Niska showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Scott has his takedown stuffed

and Niska counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Scott has his foot on Niska's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Niska works his way back into a safe position though.
Niska sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Scott's guard.
Scott wants to sweep but Niska has passed to side control!
Niska is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Scott's shoulder. That is not cool.

Niska has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Scott throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Scott waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Niska.

Niska takes the fight into the clinch.
Niska tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Scott smiles and moves away.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Niska wants a takedown but no success here.
Alan Scott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adelai Niska.

Scott jumps guard and drags Niska to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Scott isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Niska stacks Scott on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Niska!

Adelai Niska comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Niska winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
